Vision Statement
Peru Library aspires to provide a welcoming, comfortable space where community residents can borrow books and movies, enjoy cultural offerings, access free wi-fi and patron computers, and spend time with friends and neighbors. Patrons will enjoy learning about their town’s history through artifacts on display and archives dating back to the early 1800’s, all while visiting the original 1780,s meeting-house – the highest library in Massachusetts (elevation 2064 feet)

In this small rural town of 831*, Peru Library is committed to meeting residents’ current interests and the community’e evolving needs while honoring local history.
The Trusty and Director are focused on:
- Adapting library services and programs as patrons’ needs change
- Encouraging greater use of the library by children and families
- Providing educational and cultural resources and events
- Advancing wider use of the library as a community meeting place
